Booking, payments and policies.

The complete written framework for reservations, payments, modifications, cancellations, participant responsibility, risk and privacy.

01

Reservations & payments

A written plan before every booking.

ZOTZ Local Diving Experts / Dive Rite México—operated by ZOTZ SCUBA S.C. and VÁMONOS MOJANDO S.A. DE C.V.—provides personalized services designed around each client’s needs and interests. Every trip, course and diving service is organized through a written itinerary describing the selected services.

  • Reservation requests are normally answered within 36 hours and an acknowledgement is sent after receipt.
  • Reservations must be arranged before the client’s arrival and remain subject to availability.
  • Availability is verified before any card is charged, and card charges require the client’s express authorization.
  • A service voucher is issued after payment is confirmed and states the meeting place, date and time.
  • A reservation is not guaranteed until the deposit or full payment specified in the proposal has been received.
  • Published prices are per person in USD and include only the services identified in the description.
02

Deposit & accepted methods

Payment terms are confirmed in the proposal.

The deposit required is specified on each booking proposal. Full payment must be completed before the trip, diving service or course begins. Payments are accepted by wire transfer, card, Wise or cash. Bank-transfer and payment-processing charges are the client’s responsibility unless the proposal states otherwise.

03

Changes & cancellations

Requests must be made in writing.

All cancellation and modification requests must be submitted in advance by email. There is no refund for services the client voluntarily chooses not to use. A same-day cancellation cannot be rescheduled, and a cancellation received less than 24 hours before the first diving day is charged in full.

Deposits for diving services and courses are non-refundable. When a documented medical emergency or other qualifying emergency occurs, the activity may be rescheduled. A medical cancellation within ten days of the service must be supported by a medical certificate; after review, ZOTZ may authorize a refund or rescheduling.

Changes requested by the client to confirmed dates or itineraries may be subject to additional charges or penalties.

04

Expedition cancellation schedule

Travel commitments follow a separate timeline.

Expedition cancellations must be submitted in writing. The following charges apply to the total trip price.

  • 100 days or more before departure: 20%.
  • 99–60 days before departure: 50%.
  • 59 days or fewer before departure: 100%.
05

Refunds

Processing and banking costs.

When a refund has been approved, it will be processed within 1–30 days after the client provides the required banking information. Transfer costs, card fees or bank commissions may be deducted and will be identified in the refund record.

06

Force majeure & natural conditions

Some conditions are beyond human control.

ZOTZ SCUBA S.C. and VÁMONOS MOJANDO S.A. DE C.V. are not responsible for compensation when contracted services cannot be provided because of force majeure or events outside their reasonable control, including war, civil unrest, strikes, natural disasters, terrorism, adverse weather or comparable circumstances.

Wildlife, flora, geological phenomena, visibility, weather and other natural attractions cannot be guaranteed. Their absence or variation is not grounds for a complaint or refund.

Luggage, diving equipment and valuables remain the client’s responsibility regardless of their monetary or personal value. The companies are not responsible for loss or damage. Complaints made only after a service has been completed are not eligible for a monetary refund.

07

Participant responsibility

Fitness, health and honest disclosure.

Participation in diving, expeditions, wilderness areas and national parks assumes that the participant is physically and mentally fit for the planned activity and has made the necessary preparations. The participant accepts the inherent risks and the financial responsibility for medical treatment arising from an accident, emergency or fatality.

Health conditions, physical limitations, medication, dietary requirements and other relevant needs must be disclosed at the time of booking. Participants must not take part while impaired by alcohol or drugs and must follow the instructions of the dive professional and site operator.

08

Assumption of risk

Diving involves inherent hazards.

Scuba diving and non-scuba diving can result in serious injury or death. Compressed-gas diving carries risks including decompression sickness, arterial gas embolism and other pressure-related injuries that may require treatment in a recompression chamber. Training and diving may take place far from a chamber in both time and distance.

Before participating, every diver must read, complete and sign the applicable assumption-of-risk and liability-release documents. The participant acknowledges the physical demands of diving and voluntarily accepts foreseeable and unforeseeable risks associated with academic, confined-water, open-water and overhead-environment activities.

The signed participant documents identify the instructors, facilities, training agencies and related parties covered by the release and govern the legal terms of participation. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.

09

10

Schedules & environmental preparation

Plan carefully and travel responsibly.

Diving and training are available year-round, seven days a week. Programs can be adapted to the client’s calendar, but schedules remain subject to weather, site access and operational conditions.

  • Bring a change of clothes and towels for cenote training days.
  • Avoid sunscreen, mosquito repellent and other skin products before water activities where required by site rules.
  • Choose rechargeable batteries and reduce disposable razors, plastic bags and single-use bottles.
  • Follow all conservation and waste-minimization instructions for fragile marine and cave environments.
